Responsible for supporting the team responsible for enterprise-wide data engineering architecture in the customer solutions organization. The customer solutions organization is the central team for enabling the teams across the company, that are directly responsible for delivering for our customers and shareholders, with data-enabled solutions. The data engineering team is the infrastructure for all of this.
Assist in providing tactical execution and delivery of a critical project within the data engineering project portfolio. Help with requirements gathering for new data transformations, build ETL pipelines based on user/project requirements, and develop data dictionaries and other documentation needs for data assets.
This person will need to have an aptitude for troubleshooting and solving complex problems. They must have a learning mindset that drives them to research and leverage some of the best data engineering tools within industry. The person will need to have a drive to quickly become familiar with the many data sources that the intelligence teams they support need to drive the business (SAP for orders and shipments, contracts, pricing and more).
This organization has an exciting project ahead of them; to move from legacy SSIS and on-premise servers, to cloud platforms leveraging Databricks and the latest technology. This person will be a key player in this exciting shift and have the opportunity to learn this technology and drive the continued implementation of industry best practices.
