Data Functional Analyst

Location: Skopje, North Macedonia

Johnson Matthey IT (JM IT) is Johnson Matthey’s global IT function responsible for ensuring that our IT capabilities are not only able to support and integrate technologies but can also offer insight into future IT tools that could provide us with a competitive edge and improved operating efficiencies. 

As Data Functional Analyst, you will support the Data Deployment Specialist with all data deployment matters and data management practices throughout an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) deployment across the globe and sector. In addition, the role supports the maintenance of ERP metadata and those cleansing master data against data standards and the ERP metadata.

Your responsibilities:

For any given deployment and relating to Data migration:

assessing the current Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities relating to metadata and MDM processes against upcoming programmes or projects; monitoring the data migration delivery quality; participating in the agreed Data Migration governance processes; raising risks, issues and actions as appropriate to sustain the required standards of metadata documentation.

Where not undertaken by external Data Migration Resources:

executing data migration technical validation and reconciliation; identifying cleansing, construction, and data quality activities; assisting the data team as a single point of contact for data objects within the scope of your responsibility; communicating the requirements to the data migration team to facilitate appropriate tool build; supporting defect resolution during data loads.

Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the engineering and business teams.

Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements for the role:

Experience in data migration/data management on a large SAP (or similar) solution in an international manufacturing environment.

Proven experience leading or working within a matrix organization with cross-functional teams.

Ability to operate effectively and build strong working relationships with various business functions across geographies, including managing stakeholders and colleagues remotely (across distance and time zones).

Business analysis experience.

Experience in working directly with business teams.

Experience with ETL and data quality management.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong MS Office skills – especially, MS Excel.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
