About the Role
Support and execute AIA Hong Kong enterprise-wide Data Management and Governance Framework in accordance with AIA Group Data Governance Standard including its organizational and process components; propose strategic agenda, prioritize sequencing, coordinate implementation, define standards and key metrics to measure performance, quality, clarity and consistency of data definition, accessibility, and compliance. Implement tracking mechanisms and KPI dashboards to measure actual status versus defined standards and continuously monitor status and progress against improvement project goals. Acting as a Data Governance SME to support data related projects.Roles and Responsibilities:
Functional Duties:
Facilitate Group and Local Critical Data Elements (CDEs) implementation and monitoring.Facilitate root cause analysis of data quality issues and drive any corrective actions required.Facilitate the discussion between Group and Local Business Units on group data governance/ quality requirements as well as any data governance related issues.Monitor and enhance the data healthiness via established data quality management framework.Support the data council meeting with senior management executives.Maintain the data operating model (e.g., data quality issue management, metadata management, etc.) based on the data maturity, in order to support Data Owners/ Stewards/ Consumers to adopt the data model which aligns with AIA data governance standard.Drive OCMD Data Model business adoption.Execute the activities that support the agreed AIA HK Data Governance Roadmap.Support and maintain AI and Data Governance standard.Identify and Support opportunities for data governance process automation.Manage data-related projects.People Management Duties:
Direct activities of Data Governance team, Data Platform team, project team members and supporting vendorsEnsure the Data Governance team activities meet the agreed AIA HK Data Governance Roadmap.Identify training / uplift opportunities for the Data Governance team.Minimum Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
University graduate in Computer Science, Statistics or related disciplines, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Specialist (Asst Manager Level)Strong technical foundation and knowledge for AI/BI/Data Modelling/Data AnalyticsKnowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practicesKnowledge of data governance practices, business process and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protectionKnowledge of data related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issuesCompetency
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skillSound problem solving and decision-making abilityProven ability to identify innovation opportunities, define and deliver innovative business functionProject Management and Business Analyst skillsCommand of Data Governance principlesSound business knowledge in insurance industry Excellent communication, coaching and consultative skillsKnowledge of programming languages, e.g. SQL, or Python.Knowledge on Data Governance Tools, e.g. Enterprise Data Catalogue or Purview etc. would be an advantage/plus.Others
