*Position Summary* The Data Governance Analyst plays a critical role in developing and supporting an enterprise-wide data and analytics governance program and works closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and IT teams to develop standards, policies and processes that ensure the reliability, usability, security, and compliance of Health First’s data and analytics assets. The incumbent will assist business leaders in fostering a culture of data literacy to support business outcomes. The Data Governance Analyst will administer data governance policies, assess data quality, and maintain documentation. *Primary Accountabilities* 1. Guide development of and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures. 2. Administer data governance business processes and supporting technological platforms. 3. Promote data literacy through collaboration with, and training of, key governance roles. 4. Collaborate with stakeholders (business, IT, legal, compliance) to define data quality requirements. 5. Conduct data quality assessments and identify areas for improvement. 6. Maintain data dictionaries and data lineage documentation. 7. Support data stewards in monitoring data governance compliance and resolving issues. 8. Assist Data & Analytics leaders’ efforts to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA, FIPA). *Minimum Qualifications* * Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information management, analytics, or a related field. * Work Experience: o Three years of experience in a role entirely supporting a data governance program. o Three years of experience working with healthcare data. * Knowledge/Skills/Abilities. o Proficiency in data cataloging tools (e.g. Purview, Collibra, Informatica). o Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality frameworks and best practices. o Understanding of data privacy and protection regulations such as HIPAA, FIPA, and other relevant laws and regulations. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. o Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. o Strong communication skills and professional presence. o Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. *Preferred Qualifications.* * Education: Master’s degree in information systems, information management, analytics, or a related field. * Certification: Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or equivalent. * Work Experience: o Three years of experience in a data governance role plus two additional years of experience in any data management or business intelligence role. o Experience implementing a data governance toolset. o Experience supporting an emergent data governance program. * Knowledge/Skills/Abilities *Physical Requirements* * Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping. * Long periods of computer time or at a workstation. * Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. * May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. * Communicating with others to exchange information. * Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. * Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote. * May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle. *ABOUT HEALTH FIRST* At Health First, diversity and inclusion are essential for our continued growth and evolution.
