**What you'll bring to the team**

We are seeking an experienced **Data Governance Lead** to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global data governance framework. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across our organisation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data quality, privacy, and compliance.

Key responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement a global data governance framework, aligning with organisational objectives and industry best practices
+ Establish policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
+ Define data stewardship roles and responsibilities, integrating governance practices into operational workflows
+ Develop and implement data quality metrics, validation rules, and monitoring controls
+ Conduct data audits to identify and resolve quality issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
+ Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PIPL) and oversee security measures such as encryption and access controls
+ Create and maintain a metadata management framework to enhance data discoverability and traceability
+ Partner with business leaders, data owners, and security teams to define governance priorities and best practices
+ Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote data governance awareness across the organisation
+ Monitor and report on governance performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership
+ Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies, ensuring governance strategies remain cutting-edge
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Proven experience in developing and managing data governance strategies, including policies on data quality, data stewardship, data security, compliance, and privacy.
+ Ability to analyse data management practices and make data-driven decisions.
+ Familiarity with data management and governance platforms (e.g.,Databricks, Microsoft Purview) and experience working with databases, data warehouses, and cloud storage solutions.
+ Ability to communicate strategic incentives and to communicate complex data principles to all levels of stakeholders for buy-in to initiatives.
