The Data Governance officer implements AZP data strategy in close collaboration with Data Owners of its scope and their teams, drives Allianz Partners (AZP) data transformation and develops AZP data capabilities, aligned with AZP business priorities, with the aim of establishing a data driven organization.
He/she defines Allianz Partners' policies, standards and directives within the scope for which is responsible involving stakeholders of all Functions, LoBs and Business Units. The Data Governance Officer helps the Data Owner identify de CDE (Critical Data Elements) within its scope.
Besides this, he/she manages the provisioning to the or information of internal or external origin to support the objectives, processes and decision-making of the Lob within his/her scope. Also, drives the documentation of data objects in strong partnership with data owners.
As a Data Governance Officer, you are in charge of the following responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the LoB data governance roadmap. Define the strategic direction for our data governance program, outlining key initiatives, timelines, and deliverables.
• You are a permanent member of data management committees, actively influencing decision-making and promoting a culture of data accountability across the organization.
• Oversee the implementation of AzP Data acculturation program within its scope and ensure the program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively with data.
• Ensure that key data is properly documented within our company's Business Glossary Tool (IDMC).
• Support Data Owners in achieving their data quality objectives by facilitating the appointment of Business Data Owners and Data Stewards, implementing data quality measurements, and establishing remediation plans and controls.
• Identify and manage data governance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate access to data for authorized users by working with analytical platforms (BI, Allianz Data Platform, etc.).
• Help the Data Owner identify de CDE (Critical Data Elements) within its scope.
• Coordinate efforts across business units to develop and maintain a centralized, consistent business glossary.
• Understand the strategic data needs of the Line of Business and act as a facilitator for collecting information related to data management (planning, definitions, mapping, responsibilities, quality monitoring, problems, and risks). This includes validating key data and data repository publications.
• Take ownership of the data governance framework, including processes, standards, tools, and steering mechanisms (timelines, outcomes, etc.).
• Manage and support the resolution of data-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• In close collaboration with the Data Quality Manager, define and implement data management policies, standards, and guidelines to optimize data quality, consistency, and control procedures. You will also monitor changes in data management practices and update policies accordingly.
What you bring
• Multi-Year experience in collaboration with IT or working within IT department.
• Experience in financial planning and IT cost management.
• Multi-Year experience in IT stakeholder or vendor management role.
• Training and Experience in a leadership role.
• Agile Scrum, OPEX, Six Sigma and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
• Demonstratable experience in transformation programs; change management trainings.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Agile Scrum, OPEX, Six Sigma and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
• Understanding of local and regional labor laws and regulations.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
