The ideal candidate will have the expected mathematical and statistical expertise, combined with a rare curiosity and creativity. This person will be responsible for determining how GSK Colombia collects and processes data. Beyond technical prowess, the Data Steward will create uniform rules for interacting with data standardizing GSK Colombia data entry and data sharing processes across Data Governance projects. The data steward will need soft skills for clearly communicating highly complex data trends to organizational leaders. We’re looking for someone willing to jump right in and help the company get the most from its data. Key Responsibilities: · Data Access: Document and publish processes for granting access and privileges within the business area. Develop policies to maintain appropriate access rules. · Data Classification: Classify data as restricted, regulated, or public based on distribution needs. · Data Quality: Develop and audit data quality rules, log issues, and work toward resolutions. · Data Policies: Contribute to the development of policies on data retention, privacy, and usage. · Data Sharing: Review and approve or reject data sharing requests. · Reference and Master Data: Define and review code values and identify master data sources. · Metadata Management: Define business terms and their attributes, including calculations and rules. · Data Stewardship Group: Participate in stewardship meetings and working groups as needed. · Data Certification: Ensure reports and visualizations meet business needs and are trustworthy. · Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance during the creation of data assets, dashboards, and reports. · Research: Offer input on the selection of third-party data and related objects. ¿Why You? Your qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. · 3+ years of experience in data management, governance, and quality. · Experience with database management and governance projects. · Strong understanding of data stewardship and governance concepts. · Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. · Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. · Familiarity with data architecture. · Proven expertise in project management and process design. · Ability to thrive in a dynamic, research-oriented team. · Fluency in English.
