Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data/Information Architect in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The individual will be part of a team that leverages data modeling, database design, and data management strategies in a variety of client companies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement data management strategies to support business objectives.
• Design and construct databases using technologies such as SQL, Oracle, or NoSQL, ensuring optimal performance.
• Create data models that enable the efficient use and storage of data.
• Utilize cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and retrieval.
• Use data management tools and practices to maintain the integrity and security of databases.
• Analyze and resolve data-related issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Leverage knowledge in Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics to provide insights and recommendations.
• Employ EO/IR systems and Erwin Data for complex data processing.
• Adhere to data governance principles to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Requirements • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is required as the job demands working with cloud-based data storage and management systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Database systems is essential, as the role involves extensive database management.
• Familiarity with DB2 Database is necessary, as the selected candidate will be expected to work with IBM's DB2 database system.
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is required as the role involves managing and interpreting electro-optical and infrared data.
• Expertise in Erwin Data is essential, as the role requires the use of this data modeling tool.
• Strong analytical skills are a must-have for this role, as it involves analyzing complex sets of data and drawing meaningful conclusions.
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is crucial, as the role requires analyzing business data and providing actionable insights.
• Proficiency in Data Architecture is necessary, as the role involves designing, creating, and managing the company's data architecture systems.
• Knowledge of Data Governance principles is required, as the role involves ensuring the quality, consistency, and security of the company's data.
