Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

As a Data Infrastructure Engineer in system admin for test infrastructure role, you will be responsible for installation, setup, troubleshooting, debugging and configuring the test infrastructure, OS, applications, services , remote tools, database, VM machine , Server , proprietary applications across different geography.

Responsibilities:

Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.Handle common database administration and maintenance such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.Monitor overall health of databases and provide timely resolution and root cause analysis for incidents to prevent issues.Profile server resource usage, capacity management, optimization and enhanced structureCollaborate with other infrastructure team members and user customers.Collaborate with multi-functional application teams to design efficient and scalable database structure throughout development, testing and deployment to production.Investigate and fix database-related issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and data inconsistencies.Provide technical guidance and support to developers and end-users.Prepare SOE and Runbook documentations, specifications and refine processes to support dynamic environments.Participate in setting objectives, strategies, plans, programs, performance standards/measures and procedures.Drive innovation and automation of database resiliency.

Qualifications / Experience:

B.Tech in Information Technology/Computer Science or any related field.A minimum of 5+ years of overall experience in IT MYSQL/MSSSQL Database Domain (On Prem and cloud) with proven experience in Database Operations and 5+ years experience in C# programming language.Mandatory strong proficiency in MYSQL/MSSQL database management.Solid understanding on installing, configuring and troubleshooting MSSQL server, specifically Always ON Availability Groups, Replication, Clustering.Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.Test and validate backups to guarantee recoverability in case of failures with DR experienceKnowledge of Cloud services, preferably Azure and AWSProficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.Experience in designing and automating repetitive processes to streamline service and ensure consistency.Good hands-on scripting language and automation, preferably Bash, PowerShell and Ansible.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Good communication, decision-making, prioritization, negotiation, collaboration and project management abilities.Growth mindset for continuous improvementAbility to plan system resource requirements from high level specifications.Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
