About the Role: Senior Data Platform Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team, where you'll help us develop a state-of-the-art data platform. This team is part of our Data Platform division, dedicated to building our infrastructure, data, and insights capabilities. We work in a hybrid setup, spending at least three days a week together at our Stockholm office.

How You'll Make an Impact

In this role, you'll be a core member of our Data Infrastructure team, tasked with building a scalable, robust data platform that allows us to leverage a variety of data sources. Our platform runs on Google Cloud, with a tech stack that includes Airflow for data pipeline orchestration, Snowplow for event collection, BigQuery as our data warehouse, and Kubernetes for infrastructure management.

What You'll Do:

* Collaborate with a skilled and diverse team to enhance our data platform, optimizing data collection, processing, access, and monitoring.
* Develop architectural guidelines, solutions, and best practices for data pipelines in Airflow/Composer.
* Provision and manage resources in Google Cloud using Terraform.
* Oversee data sources and manage both ELT and reverse ETL pipelines.
* Define strategies for data governance, cataloging, discovery, and access.
* Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing standardized monitoring, CI/CD, and testing practices.
* Work closely with stakeholders to identify data needs and develop targeted solutions.
* Stay on top of emerging technologies and best practices to continually improve our data infrastructure.

What We're Looking For:

* Ideally 3+ years of experience in data infrastructure, systems architecture, and Google Cloud Platform technologies.
* Hands-on experience building ingestion frameworks and orchestration tools.
* Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
* Knowledge of data security and compliance (including PII handling and GDPR).
* Strong background in data pipelines, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
* Solid understanding of software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
* A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work well with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers.
* Proficiency in Python.
* Strong communication skills, with an ability to adapt technical topics for a non-technical audience.
* A pragmatic mindset focused on delivering impactful, practical solutions.
* Fluent Swedish & English languages skills; both written and verbal.

If you're excited about this role, but don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We value diverse experiences and understand that expertise comes in many forms.
