The Opportunity
As the Data Integrity Consultant, you will be responsible for the oversight of data controls and processes that ensure the availability of complete, timely, and quality investment data for users across the organization. You will partner closely with the Investment Data Quality team to ensure existing controls are effective and executed, while soliciting feedback from users on where additional controls may be required. You will gain expertise in the complex data flows across systems, serving as a subject matter expert on the investment ecosystem. You will partner with other subject matter experts to understand inflight projects, reacting to new or changing data requirements and continuously assessing and identifying new controls or process improvements. The nature of the work will require perseverance, accountability, attention to detail and the ability to react to everchanging business needs.
The Team
The Investment Operations Data Management team is part of the MassMutual Investment Operations team within the Investment Management division. The Investment Operations Data Management oversees all securities related data ingested into and extracted from the Investment Data Ecosystem for all assets in MassMutual’s General Investment Account (GIA). The team provides investment data and system subject matter expertise to projects across the organization and works to continuously improve processes impacting data flows. Investment Operations Data Management partners closely with Securities Cash Operations, Investment Controllership teams, Enterprise Risk Management, and others to address and resolve data related issues.
The Impact:
Ensure investment data controls and processes are well documented and consistently executedPartner with teams in Investment Management, Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Enterprise Technology to ensure completeness and effectiveness of data controls and processes, advocating for and implementing new controls as neededServe as a subject matter expert for the Investment Data EcosystemPartner with internal audit and governance teams to ensure control environment is meeting requirements and design remediation plans for identified deficienciesOversee Issue Management processes, driving cross-functional resolutionPartner with Program Management Office to ensure projects are delivered in-line with existing data processes and transitioned with appropriate training and documentationMonitoring control deficiencies impacting the Company’s financial statements, including partnering with process/deficiency owners to determine appropriate risk ranking of known and emerging control issues, design and deployment of effective remediation plans and seeing those issues through to timely closureSupport/oversee testing of internal controlsDeveloping a comprehensive structure to oversee and evaluate the control activities within Investment Management OrganizationManaging and reporting on the control issues trendsSupporting the broader Investment Management Organization to improve the standardization of control deficiency assessment and remediation plan development processImproving efficiency and effectiveness of controls and their execution by performing targeted quality review procedures with process ownersTimely reviewing various subsidiary internal control reports and internal audit reports for evaluation of deficiencies impacting Investment ManagementContribute to presentations focused on reporting control deficiencies for senior/executive management and the Audit CommitteeThe Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required5+ years of securities data experience with an understanding of securities life cycleThe Ideal Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,500.00-$118,700.00
