From forward-looking plans to everyday, practical building and construction, PDS plays an instrumental role in the shape and direction of Boise. Specific responsibilities include long-range planning, urban design, mobility, housing, community development, zoning, historic preservation, building permitting, and inspections. We are seeking data interns for the Spring and Summer semesters to support Planning and Development Services with projects focused on customer intake and code compliance divisions. Responsibilities will include data entry, analysis, and creating customized dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. Each intern will be assigned a specific deliverable to complete by the end of the semester. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to observe and contribute to other Planning and Development Services projects, aligned with their academic background and skill level. Successful candidates for these positions will be self-motivated, inquisitive, and reliable. Additionally, experience with GIS and graphic design is desirable. Students in the Urban Studies program are encouraged to apply. This position is designated as At-Will.
