Job Profile Summary:
The Data Licensing and Operations (“DL&O”) group is a team that governs and administers the data vendor relationships and contracts for all FactSet processes that procure data from external sources.
The Product Coordinators Team within the DL&O group is responsible for the onboarding of new Third-Party and FactSet products in conjunction with Product Development, Engineering, Legal, Finance and IS team members. The group monitors compliance during the creation of the products, and escalates questions related to distribution rights as necessary. The group also administers and facilitates approvals and agreements for client use cases ensuring compliance with FactSet’s Data Vendor agreements.
The successful candidate will acquire vendor authorization for new content and ensure products are released on the FactSet platform in a manner that complies with vendor requirements. The ideal candidate will be expected to use their in-depth knowledge and analytical skills to extrapolate the necessary information from market data agreements to address more nuanced questions.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
70% - Responsible for creation of Third Party and FactSet products in conjunction with Product Development. Monitor compliance with third party vendors/license agreements when such data is included in a new product. Ensure that new products align with our agreements, escalating more complex offerings to a senior person in the department as needed.
20% - Handle and reach out to exchanges and other vendors to vet various new sales ideas to ensure compliance/additional contract needs. The successful applicant will also ensure that certain sales deals are in line with our vendor agreements in terms of reporting, contract, and approval systems with global exchanges. They will manage independent projects with limited guidance. Relies upon depth of knowledge to execute projects that promote partnership with our third-party data vendors and our internal stakeholders.
10% - Monitor and manage Data Notifications relevant to FactSet Global Exchanges and other third-party suppliers. He/she will thoroughly analyze fee or policy impacts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated fluency in English, both verbally and in written word
Excellent communication skills and the ability to correspond with a diverse group of stakeholders and vendors
Preferably has at least 2 years of professional experience in global financial markets and/or market data licensing agreements
Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret licensing contracts
Strong understanding of finance and procurement processes
Minimum 1 year in an Associate role or equivalent
Strong computer skills including Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, and a willingness to learn FactSet’s Data Licensing and Operations Proprietary systems
Excellent critical thinking skills in solving complex issues
Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and handle a high volume of tasks
Willingness to work in a global organization with team members in different geographic locations
