Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Fort Leavenworth, KS is currently seeking a Data Mgt Analyst. The Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) is an automated FSC2 system that processes, analyzes, and exchanges combat information among the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and other Joint architectures. AFATDS provides fully automated support for planning, coordinating, controlling, and executing fires and effects. It supports weapon systems such as mortars, field artillery cannons, rockets and missiles, close air support, attack aviation, and naval surface fire support systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functionsPerforms analysis of system operationsConduct fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devicesBe available for temporary assignment to various CONUS/OCONUS sites for extended periods of timeGenerate customer related reports from multiple sources, for example Daily Activity Reports, Trip Request, Trip ReportsProvide over – the – shoulder training to military operatorsPerform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functionsMust be Knowledgeable of and is capable of using operating systems and database management systemsPerform analysis of system operations, fault detection, isolation, correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices.Must poses excellent oral and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPointBasic Qualifications:
One of the following:High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of professional and/or military leadership experienceBachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional and/or military leadership experienceMaster’s degree with a minimum of 0 year of professional and/or military leadership experienceMS Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, One Note) operational proficiencyCertified on AFATDSMinimum 3 years operational experience using Army Mission Command SystemsMust currently possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret ClearanceWilling to travel up to 50% per calendar yearComfortable interacting with all military ranksCapable of performing analysis of system operationsKnowledgeable and experienced in operations of hardware systems and componentsExperience in fault detection, analysis, isolation, correction of hardware systems and individual componentsCapable of routine system analysis and maintenance on both software and hardware, along with associated componentsPreferred Qualifications:
Analytical and Critical Thinking SkillsLeadership SkillsActive Listening SkillsAbility to handle stress and work well under pressureAbility to Multi-TaskSalary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
