Data Management Associate

The Data Management Analyst for Home Lending Servicing at Chase is responsible for managing, governing, and ensuring the quality of data within the division. This role ensures data is accurate, accessible, secure, and meets stakeholder needs. The Senior Associate role oversees all data created, provisioned, or consumed in Home Lending Servicing applications, supporting business objectives, advanced analytics, operations, and reporting.

Job Summary: 

As subject matter experts, Data Management Analyst define and classify critical business data. They collaborate with technology and business partners to define the data strategy, roadmap, while ensuring the data delivery aligns with quality and safety requirements. Additionally, they execute processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the data lifecycle, in compliance with firmwide policies and standards.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement plans for the delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, advanced analytics, and reporting. Utilize subject matter expertise and key partnerships to identify and document critical data, ensuring it is well-defined, classified with metadata, and understood. Lead the publishing of data to the Data Lake and strategize towards that goal. Execute processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across the data lifecycle, including protection, retention, destruction, storage, use, and quality. Create operational procedures for data development and delivery to support business operations, strategic objectives, analytics, and reporting. Collaborate with key partners to define, document, and drive an understanding of data usage within the business, providing subject matter expertise on data content and application. Partner with technology and business resources to investigate root causes of data issues and recommend remediation. Develop relationships with data providers and consumers, including partners in Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, Risk, and Control functions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

Bachelor’s degree required. 6 years of industry experience in a data-related field. 5 years of experience within technology engineering, AWS, cloud modernization as it relates to data analytics. Expertise in SQL (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) with a good understanding of database design and data manipulation. Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes including Product Management Leadership discipline. Demonstrated ability to manage delivery timelines, and ensure our product and organization is on track to meet our goals. Ability to execute via internal partnerships. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Structured thinker with good business acumen.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills -

Master’s degree preferred. Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred. Preferred experience with real-time data movement across Cloud. Preferred experience in Innovation- Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud native technologies. Preferred Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture. Familiarity with ETL processes and working with data warehouses. Experience with data visualization tools.
