About the TeamThe Data Management practice is part of the AI Center of Excellence and is integrated into a broader team known as Digital Enablement. This team specializes in managing data more effectively and helping clients unlock the value within their data. It focuses on areas such as data quality, data governance, data cataloging, master data management, and data lifecycle management. The team provides both strategic consultancy and the technical setup of tools and technologies (e.g.: Collibra, Informatica, Ataccama, Dawiso, Holistic AI, Microsoft Purview, SAP MDG) to support these initiatives. By leveraging synergies with AI Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiatives, the team enhances its capability to deliver comprehensive solutions.
About your ManagerLukáš is a manager specializing in data management and governance. He gained his focus on data management while working at Ataccama, a leading provider of software for data quality, data cataloging, and master data management. After completing his studies at the Czech Technical University in Prague, he moved to PwC, where he uses his expertise to help meet client's needs in the field of data management.
Job description & summaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer/Developer with a focus on Collibra to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical setup and configuration of Collibra (possibly other data management tools such as Informatica, Ataccama, Microsoft Purview, Holistic AI or Dawiso). You will play a key role in handling the technical setup, developing custom functionalities or workflows, and setting the architecture of Collibra within the client's environment. Your technical expertise will help our clients effectively manage their data assets and ensure compliance with data and AI-related regulations, such as GDPR, the AI Act, and the Data Governance Act. This position offers an excellent opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies and gain insight into both domestic and international projects, working with some of the industry's largest clients. Additionally, you will have the possibility to explore and work with other emerging technologies, broadening your skill set and enhancing your career growth.
What can your workday look like?Configure and set up Collibra and other data management tools to meet client needs.
Develop and customize functionalities and workflows within Collibra.
Define and implement the architecture for Collibra in various client environments.
Collaborate with the data management team to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
Support compliance with relevant data and AI-related regulations (e.g., GDPR, AI Act, Data Governance Act).
Provide technical support and expertise to clients and team members.
Requirements of the role:Proficiency in Python, Java, or Groovy for scripting and integration configuration.
Knowledge of JDBC (DB connectors configuration).
Basic understanding of SQL, including metadata.
Experience with REST API.
Basic knowledge and understanding of the following systems and their principles: AWS, Azure, Cloudera Data Platform (HDFS, Hive, Impala, etc.), Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, PowerBI.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Linux (Terminal).
Experience working with logs.
Nice to have:
Groovy.
BPMN (Camunda, Flowable, Activiti).
Experience with Collibra Workflows BPMN development.
Experience with Collibra system integration.
DevOps knowledge, particularly basic pipeline functionalities (CI/CD).
