Job Description:

Data Collection and Management:

Design and implement data collection methodologies and tools (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups) to gather relevant information from communities and stakeholders.Ensure that data is collected in a systematic, ethical, and accurate manner, adhering to data protection and privacy regulations.

Maintain and manage databases and other data storage systems, ensuring data integrity and security – will include Project KPIs, Accountability/Community feedback and Response, and Box and other donor recommended data management systems

Data Analysis, Reporting and Communication:

Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in community resilience and local governance.Generate reports and visualizations that effectively communicate data findings to diverse stakeholders, including project staff, local governments, and community groups.Prepare regular progress reports that outline key findings, challenges, and recommendations based on data analysis.Develop and present data insights at meetings, workshops, and community engagement activities to inform decision-making and policy development.

Capacity Building:

Conduct training sessions for project staff and local partners on data management practices, data analysis techniques, and the use of data for decision-making.Support local governance structures in using data to enhance their planning and decision-making processes

Collaboration and Engagement:

Collaborate with project teams, local government officials, and community organizations to identify data needs and strengthen coordination for data sharing and usage.Engage with community members to understand their perspectives and incorporate their feedback into data collection and analysis processes.Collaborate with other partners through working groups or cluster activities that involves the Project

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning:

Assist in the development and implementation of project monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure the impact of initiatives on community resilience and governance.Contribute to the continuous improvement of project activities based on data-driven insights.Work with the ECRP team to organize and facilitate the learning events and necessary documentationDocumentation of the best practices, most significant change stories and special features demonstrating project impact

Required Professional Experience

At least, 3 years of proven experience in data management, analysis, and reporting, preferably in development projects or community-based initiatives.Strong skills in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, KOBO, ODK and SMAP) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Familiarity with participatory research methods and community engagement strategies.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Commitment to ethical data practices and community empowerment.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Project planning and management and other Social Sciences in related field.
