The Emma Eccles Jones Nursing Research Center’s ( EEJNRC ) mission is to provide exceptional centralized support services that facilitate faculty success with research development, grant submission and management, and scholarly activity. This position will work collaboratively to support data management needs associated with research being conducted by CON faculty and their collaborators. The successful candidate will be able to work independently under minimal supervision but also as part of a team and manage timelines and day to day processes for the successful completion of their responsibilities. This position will work as a member of the statistical core team in CON and, as a member of that team, support multiple research study teams. Frequently interacts with study team members to troubleshoot, manage, and develop study specific data needs. Actively participates in the development of processes and documents that support each team’s data management needs. Applicants may be asked to provide a portfolio of previous work or link to an online repository of work such as GitHub. **Responsibilities** 1. Help implement REDCap projects and other data collection systems 2. Acquires and stores accurate data in a computer data base for subsequent retrieval to provide dependable analysis and reporting. 3. Plans, compiles, analyzes, and produces data reports to facilitate reporting requirements and decisions necessitating analytical input. 4. May be responsible for computer data entry of target data for storage and accurate and timely retrieval. 5. Provide basic descriptive statistics for datasets. 6. Reviews data for discrepancies, interacts with investigators, and creates analysis datasets. 7. Works collaboratively with investigators and other statisticians in supporting project needs. 8. Other reasonable duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, a related subject, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Clinical data management and/or clinical research experience is preferred but not required. Must be proficient in desktop office applications, and possess the ability to learn new software applications and skills in a dynamic work environment. Must be organized and detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. **Preferences** Preferred, but NOT required: Experience with R, Python, SQL , SPSS , SAS , REDCap **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
