Responsibilities: + Design and implement physical data models for RDBMS, ODS, EDW, data marts. + Work with stakeholders to analyse business data requirements and define business data processes to support data model. + Work with Analysts, ETL teams by explaining the model, collaborating to make sure mapping and ETL teams understand the model so can help with their respective work. + Facilitate JAD sessions and focus groups for efficient requirement gathering for data modeling. + Apply data warehouse philosophies (Kimball/Inmon) and normalization/denormalization techniques. + Utilize various modeling techniques (normalize, Data Vault, Star Schema). + Data Modeling expertise (primarily Physical Modeling) with Erwin. + Leverage enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, data mapping and profiling tools. + Optimize DWH performance on both ETL and database sides. + Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, be organized, and excel in a fast-paced environment. + Co-ordinate with DBAs to create Dev/QA/Prod databases with database objects including Partitions, Indexes etc. + Review the Data Models with functional and technical teams. Qualifications: + Professional experience as a Data Modeler/Data Architect in diverse industries (P&C Insurance preferred). + Extensive experience in data modeling and data warehousing especially ACCORD Model. + Strong understanding of data warehouse philosophies and performance optimization techniques. + Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. + Logical Modeling and Data Analysis Skills is a plus.
