Data Operations Engineer

Imagine360 is seeking a Data Operations Engineer! The Data Operations Engineer will help optimize the value delivered by our Data Architecture and Services team. In this role, you will be expected to gain an in-depth understanding of our production data operations. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability of our production operations that the Imagine360 organization relies on.\n

Position Location: 100% remote\n

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\nGain a thorough understanding of existing production data operations such as ETL and data integration pipelines.\nMonitor daily operations of data loads and identify data discrepancies, data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity.\nContinuously learn about newly developed data processes and automation deployed to production.\nSupport maintenance, development and implementation of business applications that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.\nSupport business processes outside of normal working hours as needed. \nCollaborate with business partners on requests related to data we maintain (such as analysis or ad-hoc retrieval).\nIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.\nSupport your team and peers through collaborative coding, design sessions, and peer code review.\nDBA-like responsibilities:\n\nResolves database issues.\nMaintain system security.\nMaintain database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.\n\n\nBalance simultaneous initiatives with varying priorities.\n\n

Required Experience\/Education:\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university.\n2+ years of data services experience working in a production environment; 3+ years business experience.\n\n

Skills and Abilities:\n

Required:\n\nETL & data integration development experience using SSIS and ADF (or similar). \nComfortable working with a production environment and understanding the responsibility it requires.\nTeam experience, including working closely with business professionals as well as technical resources and acting as a bridge between the two groups including liaison with vendors.\nExperience in optimizing, loading, and processing large datasets from different data sources and formats, including APIs.\nProven experience in developing creative solutions to technological challenges.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.\nKeen sense of curiosity and creativity for analysis and problem-solving. \nWorking knowledge of and experience with databases (Microsoft SQL), programming (JSON, XML, JavaScript, Groovy, or ETL frameworks).\nUnderstanding of best practices around database encryption, backup, and recovery.\nStrong documentation skills (e.g., requirements, test scripts, project status, management presentations, etc.).\nAdept at SQL query development, report writing, and presenting findings.\nAbility to work individually as well as in a small team setting.\n\n

Preferred:\n\n3+ years of experience with Visual Studio\nExperience working with Azure DevOps and Agile development methodology. \nAzure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or equivalent tools.\nEnterprise Systems - Salesforce.com, ERP (SAP, Dynamics), SharePoint, DocuShare.\nRelated Big Data experience (NoSQl, Hadoop, Spark, Clusters, etc. on\/off premise).\nHealthcare industry\/HIPPA regulated data environment.\nExperience with business intelligence solutions (Power BI, Tableau).\n\n
