Summary of This Role

We are seeking a Data Platform Specialist that will work across the Data Platform and Architecture team to build and support a modern cloud-based data and analytics platform. The role will work with a larger team to provide worldwide data solutions that continually push the boundaries of emerging technology. The future team member will be looked to for guidance on the ideal approach for solutions and aim to build everything with automation and scalability in mind.

What Part Will You Play?

Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions and pipelines using Snowflake or equivalent modern data platforms.Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to explore and implement new technologies and methodologies.Automate repetitive tasks and enhance existing processes through innovative Python-based solutions.Deep understanding of enterprise-grade security concepts including SSO, Networking, SCIM, IAM, Network Policies, SSL, and advanced encryption mechanisms to ensure robust and scalable solutions.Embrace changing tasks and requirements with agility, adapting quickly to evolving priorities.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and sustained efficiency of data solutions.Work primarily with Linux/CLI environments, minimizing reliance on point-and-click interfaces to achieve streamlined results.Strive for continuous improvement and optimization of data engineering workflows.Work closely with Data Architecture to provide real world guidance to ensure robustness of data solutions in the platform.Integrates solutions together to build a seamless platform that enables continuous high grading of the team's product

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's DegreeTypically Minimum 6 Years Relevant ExpWith the Installation, Customization, Testing and Maintenance of database systems within a production environment., IT related field


 

What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?

Proven expertise in Snowflake or equivalent data platform technologies.Strong proficiency in Python, with a passion for automation and process optimization.Moderate to strong SQL skills with the ability to write efficient queries.Hands-on experience with Linux environments and CLI tools preferred over traditional UI-based tools.Ability to handle ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to figure things out independently.Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.A strong eagerness to help people and contribute positively to the team’s success.
