As the Democratize Governance team our vision is to unleash the power of data for all at SAP. Our mission is to cultivate a data product mindset and to provide easy access to insights through our best-in class marketplace. We are part of SAP’s central Enterprise Analytics organisation and belong to the Strategy & Operations board area of SAP. Together with our neighbouring teams of the analytics platform organisation we are providing our engineering teams as well as data citizen personas with user-centric technologies along the entire data value chain from data product modelling to consumption. In our ambition to arrive at data democracy and to enable self-services, the topics of data product governance and decentralized processes become paramount. To support this, we have established our new team that defines the governance framework that business domains can leverage to manage data products. Our team is also responsible for the data product catalogue & marketplace and integrations into an overall north star architecture that enables the execution of our data democratization strategy. We are looking for a "Data Product Governance Senior Specialist" to join our thriving team to contribute to our data product governance strategy and the implementation of business requirements within our supporting tools.

What you bring:
5-10+ years of relevant professional experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related roles Passion for innovative topics like data mesh, data democratization, data products, data contracts, AI and its impact on accelerating business results Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards related to data governance (e.g., GDPR) Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Team player, ideally experienced in agile principles and being part of a scrum team. University bachelor’s degree (or higher) in in computer science, information technology, or a related field Solution experience in SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Datasphere is welcome Experience in Collibra would be outstanding
