Job Summary: 

The Trane Commercial HVAC Americas Sales Enablement and Analytics team is in search of a Data Product Owner to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive data and analytics framework, focusing on end-to-end data management. Reporting to the Data & Analytics Leader -  Infrastructure, the Data Product Owner will collaborate with business experts and IT partners to prioritize and develop critical datasets for self-service analytics.

The Data Product Owner will serve as the lead contributor in data product development initiatives, coordinating the delivery of large, complex data projects to ensure effective and efficient data and analytics solutions. This role will also deliver holistic solutions that align business needs with the data and analytics strategy, utilizing our Trane Data Cloud (TDC) in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Where is the work: 

This is a Remote position. 

What you will do: 

Partner with business subject matter experts and IT technical resources to prioritize and develop comprehensive datasets for self-service analytics.Act as a key point of contact with stakeholders across CHVAC, demonstrating strong business and data analytics knowledge.Translate business problems into effective, actionable data and analytics products.Drive self-service analytical maturity within the CHVAC sales and service organization.Coordinate the delivery of large, complex data projects.Facilitate training on published datasets, tools, and analytics to connect people with data.Serve as a translator between database developers, data architects, technical architects, and users to ensure timely delivery of data products.Streamline and automate ad-hoc and standardized reporting functions.Recommend when ad hoc tables should be promoted to standard work.Research and identify new data sources required by the business.Document business requirements and functional specifications.

What you will bring: 

Degree in related field or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in analytics or a related field, with a focus on analyzing complex data, managing complex projects, and developing sophisticated solutions.Strong data structure understanding and SQL query skills.Experience building data products in cloud data storage, preferably Google Cloud Platform.Deep understanding of business processes and industry best practices.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and business teams.Comfortable working in a matrixed organization.Ability to understand current processes and recommend appropriate changes.Knowledge of ETL design for efficient data movement

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $97,550 - $128,950

Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
