Data Products Manager

Role purpose: Responsible for Data portfolio management, from product development, go to market, performance tracking and product modification. Responsible for tracking competition activities that may potentially impact Data portfolio and take action. Responsible for carry out consumer insights to improve current portfolio. Also responsible of anticipating competition move and proactively put forward initiatives to ring fence respective portfolio.
The candidate in this role will also be responsible for Airtime advance portfolio management as well.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

 

Manage Data products pricing and planning. Responsible for development of GTM and coordination of all approved proposition plans to be implemented timely and drive Vodacom market share growthIn charge of tracking, measuring & analysing Data portfolio performance and proposing marketing plans and activities to mitigate or leverage market conditions.Own the Data competition landscape tracker and reviews to ensure we remain competitive in the market and realize strategic opportunities based on market requirements and the annual Roadmap.Active Management of processes & operations for Data propositions.Responsible for initiatives to deliver ROI for sites that are yet to break evenResponsible for deliver a healthy market share through innovation and relevant pricing strategy while retain a company healthy growthResponsible for deliver a healthy NPS i.e. create a good score for the company as a primary network of choice. To present Vodacom still lead in number 1 on NPS score with a gap of 10points to the second best.Working closely with CVM team to synergize initiatives to grow users, revenue and active days for Data Products.

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

•    University bachelor’s degree/master's in economics/business, or Finance focus preferred
•    +5 years of demonstrated experience working in analytical roles such as data analytics, revenue assurance, Business Analysis, billing and Finance
•    +5 year of demonstrated experience in product management 
•    Proficiency with MS office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.
•    Business Skills knowledge including statistical analysis, reporting and deep analytic skills
•    Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, establish and maintain professional business relationships with external and internal customers
•    Strong accounting and/or math skills; ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, variance and percentages 
•    Proven analytical skills 

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
 
•    A University degree.
•    Strong oral, written, reporting and presentation skills.
•    Strong negotiation and Interpersonal Skills.
•    Very strong organization skills.
•    Technology skills is a plus

Key performance indicators:


•    Delivered a profitable Data portfolio according to the budget and positive MoM growth
•    Deliver a healthy Airtime advance portfolio to drive active days and ARPU.

•    Grow Data customers and revenue to the level of the period before price floor and growing MoM thereafter.
