**What You Will Do:**
For data protection, your main responsibilities are the following:
+ Responsible for the improvement of the company’s data protection compliance program in line with GDPR and other applicable legislation (including countries outside the EU/EEA).
+ Revise or create required documentation (policies, procedures, guidelines, privacy notice, contract templates/clauses, training material, etc.).
+ Oversee the implementation/change of data protection tools across the organization.
+ Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the operational and regional teams on all data protection/privacy related matters.
+ Set up and lead a data protection network (incl. DPOs) across the organization.
+ Ensure communication with relevant data protection authorities and clients, as may be required.
+ Monitoring developments related to data protection and privacy regulations and anticipating potential impacts for BIC.
+ Develop awareness and training campaigns on challenges and best practices in the field of data protection.
For ethics and compliance, you may support in the following areas:
+ Allegation management and internal investigations.
+ Trainings to employees on general compliance culture and related policies and procedures.
Third party management, in line with group policies and procedures.
**Reporting line:**
+ Reporting directly to Group Compliance Director (Group Legal).
**Main stakeholders:**
+ IT (Cybersecurity, Digital, Projects), Legal, HR, External service providers.
**What you bring to BIC:**
+ Qualified privacy lawyer with significant operational experience in data protection and privacy management (7+ years), at an international law firm or multinational company.
+ Thorough knowledge of European and international data protection (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
+ Good knowledge of anti-bribery and corruption legislations (FCPA, UKBA, Sapin II, etc.).
+ Certifications in the field of data protection (CIPP/E, CIPM, CNIL, etc.) would be an asset.
+ Interpret complex regulations into simple and actionable steps, with a problem-solving mindset.
+ Excellent command of French and English.
+ Demonstrated strong cross-functional project management and organizational skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage with an audience and influence stakeholders
+ Ability to balance multiple priorities and ability to adjust priorities to meet business needs.
