Job Description:

The Data Quality Analyst is in-charge of

Collecting, interpreting and analyzing data and trends in order to draw findings and provide insights to businessConducting impact analysis on new and updated data quality and profiling rulesEnsuring accuracy of data quality reports and dashboardsIdentifying and evaluating areas for improvement in data managementDocumenting, maintaining and securing Business sign-offs of data quality and profiling rulesEnsuring standard document control management, such as versioning and regular review, is appliedScripting, extracting, and preparing data sets for Business to act onParticipating and supporting data programs and initiatives

The role reports to Data Governance Manager.

Preferred Skills:

Skills in SQL, MS Excel, and VBAStrong knowledge of maintaining and updating Tableau dashboards and/or QuicksightStrong knowledge of creating, interpreting, and trouble-shooting data wrangling scripts in R and/or PythonKnowledge of cloud computing platform such as AWSKnowledge of setting up, maintaining, and trouble-shooting profiling rules in Informatica Data Quality modulesStrong skills in data profiling and discovery, root cause analysis, and information chain analysis.Knowledge of data governance concepts, principles, and best practicesStrong knowledge on the use of quality management and problem-solving methodologies such as Ishikawa (Fish Bone) Diagram, Poke-Yoke (Fool-Proofing), and Lean concept.Familiar with regulatory requirements for Data Privacy, data classification, and data access management.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Management, Industrial Engineering or any Engineering field.3 to 5 Years experienced in the field of Data Quality Management and Data AnalysisExperience in querying and pulling data from SQL, and/or AWS Data StoresExperience in creating, interpreting, and trouble-shooting R and/or Python scriptsExperience in BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, SAP BOBI and/or QuicksightExperience in Data Quality Tools, such as Informatica MDM, Talend Data Quality, and/or Precisely Trillium QualityAbility to communicate effectively and work with stakeholders and end-users at all levels.Can work independently or as part of team.Must be willing to work with and learn new technologiesMust be action- oriented with excellent follow through

Responsibilities:

Documenting DQ profiling rules, securing business sign-off, and ensuring proper version controlGathering, processing, and analyzing data to uncover trends and recommend business actionsRecommending business and IT initiatives that will help improve Data Quality and prevent recurring issuesScripting, extracting, and preparing datasets for Operations, Distribution, and/or Marketing to act onDeveloping, maintaining, and communicating DQ reports and dashboardsSimulating the results and Business impact if proposed DQ initiatives and fixes are deployedParticipating and supporting Data programs and initiatives
