Work You’ll Do
As a Data Science Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client’s data science products and projects. We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML SME to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in translating mission problems into technical solutions, with a focus on automation and AI/ML. This role requires hands-on experience with designing and implementing analytics and AI/ML models, leveraging IC ITE (including IC-GovCloud) and C2E (C2S) services and infrastructure, and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure solutions are ethical, legal, compliant, and transparent.
Responsibilities:
Technical Solution Development:
• Translate mission problems into implementable technical solutions involving automation and AI/ML.
• Programmatically connect to IC APIs and data repositories, retrieve data using digital identity credentials, and develop analytics supporting the full lifecycle of the intelligence process.
Technical Project Management:
• Shepherd analytic solutions from proof-of-concept to development to production, including familiarity with federal government and IC IT system accreditation processes and milestones.
AI/ML Model Integration:
• Identify AI/ML modeling opportunities in existing and/or in-development data software applications.
• Integrate AI/ML models into operational software applications within a software-centric development environment (SDLC).
Model Evaluation and Tuning:
• Evaluate AI/ML models using metrics beyond accuracy and precision/recall.
• Tune model performance based on customer-defined feedback and define custom metrics to assess model performance.
• Develop, train, and evaluate neural NLP and time series models on mission data.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with governance, legal, and policy offices to ensure analytic and AI/ML solutions are ethical, legal, compliant, and transparent.
• Present complex technical results in plain language to C-Suite executives and conduct AI/ML code reviews with technical team members.
Team Collaboration and Development:
• Identify common technical requirements across multi-functional teams to guide the creation and definition of functional SOPs.
• Reduce inefficiencies, promote knowledge capture and exchange, and cultivate team member professional development.
