Data Scientist, Paramount Advertising

 

 

 

Paramount is looking for a Data Scientist to join the Paramount Ads Team! You will play a pivotal role in transforming raw customer data into actionable insights that inform strategic marketing decisions! You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design and handle data models, and develop comprehensive dashboards and presentations. You will validate the output of engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL (specifically BigQuery), data modeling, and data visualization tools, with a focus on lead data, lead scoring, customer data, customer scoring, and deriving marketing automation activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Data Analysis and Querying:

Use SQL, particularly within BigQuery, to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets related to customer behavior, interactions, and demographics. Conduct ad-hoc data queries to address business needs and provide insights into customer segmentation, engagement, and lifetime value.

 

Lead and Customer Scoring:

Develop lead scoring models based on historical data and predictive analytics to identify high-value leads and prioritize sales and marketing efforts. Implement customer scoring methodologies to assess customer happiness, dedication, and propensity to purchase.

 

Data Modeling:

Craft and maintain data models that successfully gain customer journey touchpoints, lead interactions, and marketing campaign performance metrics. Optimize data for performance and scalability to support real-time analytics and reporting.

 

Sales & Marketing Automation Activities:

Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to derive insights from customer data and inform marketing automation activities such as personalized messaging, dynamic content delivery, and lead championing campaigns. Monitor and analyze the efficiency of marketing automation efforts, iterating on strategies to improve engagement and conversion rates.

 

Dashboard Development:

Develop interactive dashboards using visualization tools such as Google Looker, Salesforce CRM Analytics, and Excel to track key marketing KPIs, visualize customer segmentation, and monitor campaign performance. Translate complex data into visually compelling and actionable insights for partners across the organization.

 

Data Presentation:

Build concise and impactful presentations to communicate key findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Collaborate with teams to ensure data presentations meet business objectives and drive informed decision-making.

 

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (BigQuery preferred). Expertise in data modeling techniques, predictive analytics, and segmentation strategies.

 

Additional Qualifications:

Proficiency in data visualization tools like Google Looker. Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot) is a plus. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical partners.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $98,400.00 - 123,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.  This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
