Data Scientist

ABOUT US:

Our story begins in 1984, with a group of friends who wanted to improve lives. Nu Skin founders Sandie Tillotson, Blake Roney, and Steve Lund committed to create beauty and skincare products with an "all of the good and none of the bad" mentality. Fast forward 37 years later, Nu Skin is operating and improving people's lives in nearly 50 markets across the world. Our founder’s dedication to premium beauty products and supporting independent business owners has kept us growing into the global, publicly traded company we are today. We promote a culture of being a "force for good" in the world while also providing personal and professional growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Data Scientist role will be an evolving role within our Data and Analytics team that designs, develops and programs the methods, processes, and systems that are used to collect all forms of data and develop models that serve predictions to applications, automated process flows, and stakeholders.  As a part of our digital transformation to Next Gen and customer obsessed strategy, you will collect domain context from stakeholders, define hypothesis and prediction tasks, identify and create supporting data sources, conduct experiments with various algorithms to model prediction tasks, undertake validation and tests of models to improve performance, produce pipelines that can be used to automate training and predictions with unseen or production data, identify meaningful insights from data sources, and contextualize model outputs to communicate with stakeholders (product owners, technology managers, engineering and architecture). You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and related technology team members to ensure data quality requirements are properly documented and interpreted correctly. You will also be responsible for oversight of data quality rules development, data curation/ enrichment/ standardization rules, data flows and downstream impact and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all data governance and compliance policies and procedures, including those for data policies and standards, architecture, security, disaster recovery, and service provision.
