Global Analytics - Data Scientist

Job Summary:
In this role, you can utilize a wide range of analytics tools to address various business issues. The primary focus will be to employ traditional and innovative methods using structured and unstructured data from different sources and apply AI, machine learning, and statistical techniques to develop, assess, and implement models. Our team is dedicated to finding analytical solutions that effectively solve business problems across various lines of business of our organization. With the rise of analytics-driven technology platforms at Chubb, this position will also collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models as APIs into other systems/platforms. It presents an excellent opportunity to develop analytic solutions for multiple business lines and expand your understanding of insurance products. 

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of business problems. Perform extensive exploratory data analysis and develop advanced machine-learning models. Evaluate the performance of the models and estimate their potential benefits. Develop adaptable modeling frameworks that can be utilized across multiple projects. Communicate model findings effectively to non-technical audiences through presentations. Monitor the performance of deployed models and report findings to leadership for informed decision-making. Establish documentation that complies with the model governance and audit framework. Foster strong relationships with business partners, IT teams, and analytics peers throughout the Chubb organization.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or Computer Science.  5+ years of analytics background (preferably in the insurance industry).  Programming experience in Python or R required. Experienced with the development of machine learning and statistical models. Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and keeping current on emerging industry trends.  Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to articulate an understanding of their work products. Passion for solving business problems through analytics. A good understanding of databases and approaches to extracting data. Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience with object-oriented programming is a plus. Experience hosting machine learning models as APIs is a plus (i.e. experience with Docker, MLFlow, or Flask)
