The Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) department at Ford Motors Company is looking for qualified people who can develop scalable solutions to complex real-world problems using Machine Learning, Big Data, Statistics, Econometrics, and Optimization. The goal of GDI&A is to drive evidence-based decision making by providing insights from data. Applications for GDI&A include, but are not limited to, Connected Vehicle, Smart Mobility, Advanced Operations, Manufacturing, Supply chain, Logistics, and Warranty Analytics.

The potential candidate should have hands-on experience applying OR methodologies and machine learning to solve complex business problems in Supply Chain, including sales, transportation, logistics, and inventory optimization. This role requires a solid analytical mindset, business acumen, and a passion for leveraging data and technical skills to drive business success.

Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline (preferred)  Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience applying operations research and machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems. Strong proficiency in Python programming, machine learning libraries and SQL  Experience working with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Demonstrated expertise in statistics, machine learning, optimization, and simulation.  Comprehensive understanding of supply chain concepts, including forecasting, inventory planning, optimization, and logistics  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, easy-to-understand terms.

Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position:

Apply operations research methodologies (e.g., linear programming, nonlinear programming, heuristics, and simulation) and machine learning to solve complex business problems in Ford's Customer Service Division, specifically focusing on optimizing parts sales and service operations. Develop and implement data-driven solutions for forecasting, inventory planning, optimization, and logistics. Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into clearly defined analytical problems. Develop and deploy analytical models in cloud environment. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to business stakeholders at all levels.
