The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join the Canadian Advanced Analytics team. This role is pivotal in developing sophisticated AI and ML models to create value with our Affinity business. As a Data Scientist, you will help develop and implement robust analytical solutions, applying both traditional and emerging machine learning and AI techniques including but not limited to outlier detection, link analysis, and deploying applications on cloud platforms like Azure. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-functional teams to design and implement fraud detection algorithms, contributing to the sales, product design, customer experience and security. This role demands a blend of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Modeling:
Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights that drive business improvements.Support Sales and Marketing Initiatives:
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop predictive models that optimize lead generation, customer segmentation, and retention strategies.Product Development Insights:
Work closely with product development teams to identify data-driven opportunities for product enhancements and innovations, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.Operational Efficiency:
Design and implement data-driven solutions to modernize operations, streamline processes, and improve efficiency across various business units.Enhance Customer Experience:
Analyze customer data to identify patterns and trends, providing insights that inform strategies to improve customer satisfaction and engagement.Collaborative Problem Solving:
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data science projects, delivering impactful solutions.Data Management and Governance:
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security while adhering to standard methodologies and regulatory requirements for data management within the insurance industry.Continuous Learning and Innovation:

HybridSalary range is expected to be between

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
