Data Scientist

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Data Scientist to provide support for mission operations. Through mission operations they operate, maintain, and report the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provide defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.

As a Data Scientist, you have the ability to work with the unknown by using advanced data techniques to make predictions of future outcomes. This includes use of automating ML algorithms or designing predictive modeling processes than can manipulate both structured and unstructured data.  Tasks may include:  gathering, cleaning, and processing raw data; designing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to mine big data sets; developing tools and processes to monitor and analyze data accuracy; building data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports; and writing programs to automate data collection and processing.

Required:

· 15-20 years of experience addressing data uncertainty by using more advanced data techniques to make predictions about the future.

· Ability to automate machine learning algorithms or design predictive modeling processes that can address both structured and unstructured data.

· Ability to gather, clean, and processing raw data

· Ability to design predictive models and machine learning algorithms to mine big data set

· Ability to develop tools and processes to monitor and analyze data accuracy; building data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports; writing programs to automate data collection and processing. 

· Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related quantitative science field

Desired:

Master’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programsExperience with cloud development processesExperience with industry system engineering practices

Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership.
