Colgate-Palmolive is reimagining traditional business processes and improving them by harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence. In Global analytics and insights, we work to deliver AI connected solutions to relevant business questions for the global Colgate-Palmolive community. Data Scientists help build, orchestrate, and translate predictive GenAI models for the global team. If you are looking for a high impact position that directly affects the way Colgate sells products, this Data Scientist role is for you. This position is hybrid and can be based in New York or Piscataway, NJ.

**What you'll do**
+ Conduct data analysis and modeling, including analyzing structured and unstructured datasets for insights, orchestrating LLMs for commercial and innovation purposes, and developing feature engineering solutions.
+ Build and maintain ML Ops and/or LLM Ops pipelines to enhance operational efficiency.
+ Contribute to AI strategy by promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making and keeping abreast of AI trends to suggest improvements for both new and ongoing projects.
+ Engage with business teams to understand their requirements and communicate technical findings effectively to a diverse audience.
+ Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers on various projects to ensure successful outcomes.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in data analytics or programming.
+ Proficient in GitHub, CI/CD, and at least one analytical language such as Python, Julia, or R; Expertise in common data science packages (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and data querying languages like SQL.
+ Strong understanding of statistical concepts (descriptive analysis, experimental design, Bayesian statistics, regression) and machine learning techniques (clustering, tree-based methods, temporal difference, neural networks).
+ Skilled in visualizing and communicating data using tools like plotly, seaborn, or ggplot.
+ Experience with advanced AI applications including tuning of Large Language Models, RAG chatbots, document retrieval, and agentic workflows.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Consumer Goods Industry Experience
+ Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physical Sciences with 3-5 years of work experience
+ PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physical Sciences with 0-2 years of work experience.
+ Ability to work with cloud data architectures
**Compensation and Benefits**
Salary Range $81,200.00 - $128,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
