Data Scientist - Director
Description We are in the advertising space and are situated in New York, New York. We are in need of a Data Scientist - Director to join our team. Responsibilities: • Direct and manage a team of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts, fostering a positive and high-performance environment • Oversee the processing, cleansing, and handling of raw data to create large, structured datasets for analysis and data modeling • Direct statistical analyses from both macro and micro perspectives • Conduct ad-hoc scenario analyses and simulations based on models and evaluate media plans • Oversee the production of reporting, data visualization, and presentation building • Collaborate with internal teams across BI, Buying, Planning, and Digital Investment to produce integrated client deliverables • Lead R& D initiatives using algorithmic modeling, deriving new features, QA or providing training and support to power users • Apply critical thinking to identify issues, solve problems, and improve processes • Translate business problems into mathematical expressions and equations • Ensure timely project delivery, producing analyses and content that is clean, organized, easy to read and understand • Communicate insights from data and analyses to internal stakeholders and clients persuasively • Support new business initiatives at the agency level, expand the Advanced Analytics client portfolio and upsell services to existing clients. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Data Science. • Proficiency in Data Analytics, Data Cleansing, and Data Processing is essential. • Extensive experience in handling Raw Data and Structured Data. • Demonstrable skill in Data Modeling and Data Governance. • Must have working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and R Programming is required. • Familiarity with SAS and Snowflake is necessary. • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is required. • Must have working knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Domo, and Power BI. • Extensive experience with Machine Learning technologies is a must.
