They are responsible for sifting through data points to create organized categories, comparing data points to current company processes and writing reports outlining business predictions or proposals.
What You'll Do:
Collects data through means such as analyzing business results or by setting up and managing new studies.Transfers data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis.Creates new, experimental frameworks to collect data.Builds predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.Presents information using data visualization techniques.Collaborates with other teams to integrate systems and data sets.Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.Evaluates business needs and objectives against current technology capabilities.Defines new data collection and analysis processes.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or information systems, orIn lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience.What You'll Bring:
Strong analytical skills and experience in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a cross-functional setting.Strong ability to approach problems creatively and develop data-driven solutions.Experience with ESRI software such as ArcPro and ArcGIS Online.Experience with statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, model evaluation techniques, exploratory data analysis).Experience with data wrangling and cleaning techniques to handle imperfect datasets.Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.What We Prefer:
Master’s degree in data science, physical geography, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.Experience in querying databases (e.g., SQL) and working with relational databases.Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, dplyR).Experience in visualizing and interpreting geospatial data in maps, charts, or dashboards.Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.Additional Information
