Job Overview The Data Scientist II develops and implements a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. This position is open to Chugach Employees, Chugach Shareholders and Chugach Descendants ONLY. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. Create dynamic data reports. Provide engineering & support services for various C2 facilities throughout the period of performance. Services required include AV design and installation of space operations centers fusing mission systems and ops center workstations in a manner that provides quick mission assessment and decisional information to adequately affect kill chain decisions. Software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts. Frequent scripting language use, such as Python and R and using packages commonly used in data science applications or advanced analytics. Data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives. Applying Structured Query Language (SQL), Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL), Application Program Interface (API) Building, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines, Web Application Servers, or Search Index. Use programming languages and products such as Python. Apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts. Apply statistical and operations research methods and tools. Employ spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization. Job Requirements Mandatory Bachelor’s degree in Data Science. Individual shall have industry certification such as one of the following: CompTIA Cloud or Essentials/Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA)/Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK)/CompTIA A+/CompTIA Security+/EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA)/Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH)/Certified Apache Hadoop Developer (HCAHD) (Hortonworks)/Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)/Certified Cloud Professional (CCP) (Cloudera)/Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)/Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)/Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE)/Private Cloud/Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) (Cloudera) Occasional travel may be necessary.
