About the Role
Fanatics Betting & Gaming is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Customer Intelligence team. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how we understand, engage, and retain our customers across the Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino platforms. This is a high-impact position where you'll partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Marketing, CRM, Loyalty, and Engineering to uncover actionable insights, develop predictive models, and influence strategy at scale.
What You’ll Do
1. Analytical Leadership & Strategic Insight
Design and lead analyses to understand key customer behaviors (e.g., retention, early value, churn risk, lifecycle segments). Develop frameworks to measure the effectiveness of customer engagement strategies and loyalty initiatives. Translate complex findings into compelling narratives and clear recommendations for executive stakeholders.
2. Modeling & Experimentation
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a thought partner to Product, Marketing, and Lifecycle teams on targeting, personalization, and measurement. Partner with the Fan Ecosystem and FBG Data Engineering teams to define scalable data assets that support customer analytics and experimentation. Present insights and strategic recommendations directly to senior leadership.4. Mentorship & Best Practices
Mentor junior analysts and data scientists on statistical methods, modeling techniques, and analytical approaches. Champion analytical rigor, data quality, and ethical use of customer data across the team.What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in a consumer-facing digital business (e.g., eCommerce, gaming, fintech, or mobile apps). Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with large-scale distributed data (e.g., Spark). Deep experience designing and analyzing experiments; comfort with causal inference techniques is a plus. Proven track record of developing and deploying predictive models in production. Strong business acumen and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels. Experience with customer lifecycle analysis, segmentation, or personalization is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science); advanced degree a plus.Bonus Points For

The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location. *Salary Range: $128,000 - $180,000 per year (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location). In addition to base salary, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off, and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, and more. We’ll also give you $700 to set up your home office! Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, GA, IA, IN, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI, WV. Alternatively, we are open to a hybrid role based in Denver, CO.
