Founded in 2006, ERP is headquartered in Laurel, MD and maintains satellite offices in Montgomery, AL and San Antonio, TX - plus project locations nationwide. **Responsibilities** The Data Scientist will provide computer science expertise to orchestra the collaboration among AFMEDCOM leadership to develop and maintain core application reporting deliverables and infrastructure to: develop data assets, uses, and workflows; advise in defining, developing, and reviewing existing and proposed systems, applications, and technical data designs; and drive business insights and delivery in support of Clinical Information Systems . **The duties include, but are not limited to the following:** + Independently apply knowledge and expertise to various project and program initiatives; investigate, analyze, plan, design, implement, or evaluate solutions for the project efforts. + Provide expert-level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve mission goals. + Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data needs through Agile / Scrum team frameworks. + Contribute consistently to project team meetings. + Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract actionable insights. + Possess strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. + Develop and maintain data pipelines, transforming raw data into usable formats. + Clean and preprocess data to ensure data quality and consistency. + Experience with of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques. + Knowledge of data modeling. + Strong data manipulation and analysis skills. + Proficient utilizingtools, techniques,and scientific computing libraries (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Python, ) to build predictive models and perform statistical analysis. + Experience working with data integration technologies leveraging Application Program Interfaces (APIs) (e.g., RESTful, etc.) to access external data sources. + Stay up-to-date with the latest data science/artificial intelligence (AI) trends and technologies. **Qualifications** **Qualifications and Education Requirements:** **Required Skills and Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Engineering) and two (2) years of experience related to information technology.
