As a Data Security Engineer, you will work closely with our clients to ensure their sensitive data is protected across cloud and on-premise environments. Your role will involve designing and implementing tailored data protection strategies, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and integrating advanced data security services with broader security and data management solutions.You will monitor data environments, identify and mitigate risks, and align protection measures with industry best practices and the specific needs of each organization. Beyond technical implementation, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on data protection strategies and policies to achieve comprehensive security.
We are looking for Data Security Engineers to join our team and support the evolving data security needs of our clients in response to strong demand-led growth.
The role:
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection best practices.
Experience with design, implementation and/or operation of a data protection solution, e.g. data loss prevention, data classification or information protection.
Experience in implementing and managing data protection and compliance frameworks.
Administration of the DLP tools (such as MS Purview, Broadcom, McAfee, Digital Guardian, Forcepoint) which includes configuring policies, upgrading and patching, etc.
Knowledge of encryption technologies and secure data storage practices.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and protection.
2 - 5+ years of experience in data security but also candidates with less experience and with strong education background will be considered
Consistent, reliable, and professional personality with a sense of ownership, capable of working within international & diverse teams.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills: ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues, alternatives, and recommendations.
Your advantages could be:
Understanding of data lifecycle management and data retention policies.
Hands-on experience with auditing data access and data activity monitoring.
Experience with conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and managing data breach incidents.
Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, and NIST.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection, and other Microsoft security and compliance tools.
Microsoft security certifications, such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 etc.
Project management skills.
CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CIPP, or equivalent Certification are considered a strong advantage.
Fluent English language proficiency
German language will be considered as a strong advantage
