**Description**
SAIC is seeking a **Data Services Lead** to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. A active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph is required.
As the the **Data Services Lead** you are responsible for leading the organization’s data strategy, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security. This role involves managing a team of data professionals, coordinating with various departments to understand data needs, and implementing best practices for data management and analytics. The Data Services Lead will drive the organization’s data initiatives, fostering a data-driven culture to support business objectives.
Responsibilities include to include:
+ Lead a team conducting analysis and development of customer-driven technical data architectures and solutions.
+ Design, plan, and integrate a data-intensive application framework using modern data-centric enabling technologies, cloud computing and virtualization architecture.
+ Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals.
+ Define and enforce data policies, standards, and best practices.
+ Identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and innovations across the organization.
+ Provide specific, detailed information for technology implementations, application & data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet mission needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
+ Determine the approaches for making heterogeneous data sources broadly available for discoverability and access to support a wide consumer-base, analytic needs, and use by diverse applications, services, and systems.
+ Optimize the management of data across nodes and the performance of distribution, search and retrieval.
+ Identify performance bottle-necks and evaluate scaling benchmarks.
+ Use technical expertise to evaluate and report on new cloud technologies and architectural approaches.
+ Support systems engineering activities across the program life-cycle. Data Strategy Development and Execution.
**Qualifications**
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
+ Cloud Certification (, Microsoft, Google, Oracle,etc.)
+ Certification in Agile software development methods (Scrum, SAFe)
+ Active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph
+ 7+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field
+ 3+ years in a leadership role.
+ Experience with IC and/or DoD space architectures, systems, and/or operations
+ Experience directly supporting data architecture and solution efforts and a demonstrated understanding of Systems Engineering and Acquisition processes.
+ Experience in managing data projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery.
+ Experience with data compliance and data security
+ Experience with modern data management approaches
+ Experience transitioning legacy systems to multi-cloud optimized applications
+ Experience in Dev/Ops delivery of software capabilities
+ Experience in data management tools (e.g., SQL, ETL tools, data warehousing), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
+ Experience with the IC acquisition cycle, requirements processes, budgetary practices, and acquisition documentation
+ Familiarity developing applications that use containers, microservices, serverless programming, and cloud services.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
+ Strong oral and written communications to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors at all levels on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between all organizations within a high-tempo environment
+ Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills, able to convey information across multiple customer and corporate audiences
+ Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
+ Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality.
+ Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively across departments and functions.
