The Data Architect is responsible for defining the enterprise data, analytics, integration, master data management and business intelligence current, transitional and target state architectures. This role works with the data architecture, strategy and execution roadmap in close collaboration with business and IT service owners and delivery teams. Additionally, this role leads a team of architects to ensure that solutions align with the target architecture.
This role is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.
**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Translates strategic requirements into a usable Data Architecture, which may include an enterprise data model, associated metadata, common business vocabulary, and taxonomies to be used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
+ Engages with business functions, partnering with BA/BSA to elicit Data requirements.
+ Applies business strategy and enterprise architecture principles while driving data strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure scalable, reliable, and extendable data architecture that can evolve with changing needs.
+ Work on ERWIN Data Architecture and related technical strategies in the areas of data management, master data management, data quality, and transformations, enrichment, and data integration.
+ Defines data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects.
+ Works with the Lead Architect of Data, in translating business vision, strategy and objectives into an enterprise data architecture.
+ Develops, owns and communicates the enterprise data architecture artifacts for integrations, analytics, business intelligence and master data management solution architectures showing the following views:
+ Abstraction Level - Conceptual, Logical
+ Scope - Enterprise, Domain, Capability/Process
+ Time - Current, Transitional, Target
+ Drives the development of the enterprise data, integration, analytics and business intelligence technology strategy and roadmap which include:
+ Gaps between current and target states
+ Recommended initiatives
+ Strategy and timeline for implementing initiatives
+ Understands the company's data and how it is used, identifies its source (system of record, gold copy source) and designs its movement across the enterprise.
+ Guides solution architects in promoting best practices, using reference architectures, ensuring standardization across solution architectures, and reflecting the enterprise data and integration architecture strategy in their solutions.
**_Qualifications:_**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related field required.
+ 15+ years of experience architecting data management, analytics, business intelligence and application integration solutions.
+ 3-5 years of experience in building data strategy for a large global company required
+ Experience using Azure PaaS and SaaS services and Snowflake for building data management solutions.
+ Experience using and/or extensive knowledge of various technologies in the areas of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), data storage (lifecycle management, archiving), data warehousing, data governance (taxonomy, stewardship, data quality, metadata management, lineage), master data management (master and reference data), data integration, data migration, data operations (error handling, monitoring, security), business intelligence (reporting, dash boarding) and advanced analytics (predictive analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence).
+ Experience using and/or extensive knowledge of various application integration technologies such as cloud integration, SaaS integration, API management, enterprise service bus, messaging, streaming, event management, managed file transfer, micro services, and service-oriented architecture.
+ Experience thinking strategically and applying abstract architectural concepts at an enterprise level.
+ Experience working simultaneously on multiple large, complex projects with minimal supervision.
