Introduction

 

We are seeking a Data Solutions Lead to join our Strategic Analytics Team. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data products to support other analysts and teams by providing reliable, automated solutions for data access, analysis, and reporting, which involves working with external data, including different macroeconomic and industry indicators and different commodity and raw material prices. Your role plays a crucial part in transforming raw data into actionable insights by developing Power BI reports, statistical models, and analyses, which will contribute to supporting the team’s Business Analysts and other business stakeholders by developing data-driven products and solutions. In this position, you will report to the Director of Strategic Analytics.

 

This position is mainly located in Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team of strategic analysts dedicated to data-driven analysis, turning qualitative and quantitative data into insights. The Strategic Analytics team supports senior management and Metso businesses in developing analysis and complex reporting solutions. A big part of the Data Solutions Lead role would be dedicated to developing advanced solutions for integrating external and internal data as well as customer analytics. What you’ll do

 

Support and advice Strategic Analysts and other key stakeholders in their data needs. Conduct detailed data analyses to support strategic business initiatives, providing insights that drive decision-making. Develop and implement statistical models to forecast trends, identify patterns, and optimize business processes. Develop and own some of the teams’ data products (reports, models, datasets, and dataflows) Meaningfully contribute to the team’s Data Analytics Roadmap. Work closely with Business Analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions. Managing the teams’ information architecture, design, develop and maintain Power BI landscape. Continuous optimization of Strategic Analytics processes and tools to high degree of automation  Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data analytics and continuously seek opportunities to improve data products and processes. Actively contribute to Metso Data & AI roadmap capabilities

 

 

Who you are

 

You are analytical, development oriented, outgoing, able to bring up your own solutions, curious about new technologies and methods, quick to see improvement potential Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or related field preferably in a corporate setting. Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as Power BI, SQL, Python, R, or similar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Experience in data science and machine learning, as well as in other data analytics tools, cloud platforms, and programming languages, such as Python, R, Snowflake, and Azure, is considered a plus.
