FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Strategy Lead to work for our client within the energy sector. This is initially a 3-month contract with the likelihood to be extended and will be a hybrid role based in Solihull.

Our client is looking for someone to ensure their organisation’s readiness for the upcoming Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) transition from a data perspective, aligning with overarching data strategies, ensuring seamless migration, and enabling high-quality data-driven business processes post-implementation.

Responsibilities

Confirm and define the future use and storage strategy for Half-Hourly (HH) data in a post-MHHS world Ensure alignment with the organisation's overarching data strategy Prepare and equip teams with the necessary data tools, knowledge, and support for migration Support the transition of customer and metering data between platforms, ensuring business continuity Recommend and implement strategies to ensure the quality of industry, customer, and internal/external data during migration Establish protocols to maintain data integrity post-migration, with a focus on handling increased and diversified data sets Review and evaluate all systems for functional and non-functional impacts due to increased data volumes under MHHS Ensure no degradation of system performance or service stability across IT infrastructure Evaluate and propose a single source for managing and delivering Half-Hourly consumption data for customers Assess and review change mandates to identify and mitigate any data-related impacts in a post-MHHS environment
