Job Summary: Our Data Technician will provide support for New Product Development (NPD) activities including, data entry and data management, laboratory status reports, product attribute documentation, competitive benchmark data. This position is also a key team member in the maintenance of existing product Bill of Material and training documentation.  Limited Domestic travel & afer hour internal calls may be required.

 

Responsibilities:

Works as a member of a cross-functional team comprised of Product Development Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, and Product Safety & Compliance Collects and enters product attributes for new item setup and communicates information to internal and external contacts. Responds to internal requests for information regarding product attributes. Interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and CAD models to determine and extract key specifications for data reporting. Supports product documentation including New Product Setup Request, Design Drawings, Engineering Changes to B.O.M., Product Specification development and maintenance, technical literature along with replacement part documentation. Assist in writing technical specifications for the development and implementation of new products. Contributes to the ECR/ECN entry and reporting. Maintenance of training documentation Learn various software systems and subsequently support training efforts for those systems, specifically PLM and purchase orders. Create project briefs with the Analytics Team with well-defined deliverables, which in turn will allow the NPD teams to operate efficiently. Collaborate with external resources to test new reports and data extraction. Effectively track and manage prototype builds along with prototype coordination between departments. Basic understanding of the materials used in our products. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes

 

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent education (Required) Strong written and verbal skills as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to work will with all levels of personnel. Demonstrates strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques and methodologies. Must have strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office required. SAP, PowerBI, and Product Life Cycle software experience a plus. Ability to work in a team environment and independently with limited supervision.
