We are currently seeking an experienced Data Test Engineer. You will be a key contributor embedded with in an Agile cross functional team, which driving innovation, delivering HSBC products and utilizes maximum automation.As a Data Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the client’s data storage system before it goes live. You must have strong technical capabilities and good knowledge of the coding languages commonly used in ETL development, such as Python, SQL and XML and Data Concepts.Experience in writing complex SQL queries, Experience in writing complex SQL queries, ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.)Should have experience testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects. Understanding of information governance principles and how they could apply in a testing capacityShould have adequate experience and clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testingIdentification and Test Data Preparation Techniques.Ability to transform complex Business logic into SQL or PL/SQL queriesAbility to run, read from, debug batch processThorough knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle, Test Case Life Cycle, Defect Life CycleProficiency with Test Case Preparation and ExecutionQA Automation Test toolsKnowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams.Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes while maintaining urgency in completing assigned tasks.Good communication skills with a confident personality so that can gather requirement from onsite team as well as demonstrate the output to other members of the team.

Experienced with automated test scripts for testing banking data involving source comparison and data reconciliation using python.Extensive exposure to ETL testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.Should have exposure to large data sets and understand Data Quality FrameworkExperience in data analysis, including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation, in an Information technology operating environment.Experience in tuning SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Views, etc. for performance improvementsFunctional testing Experienced in data analysisHands on experience in Python 3.
