The successful candidate will join the Facility Operations team to support the Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Contract (CMOE) located at NASA Langley Research Center. This position reports directly to the Research Operations manager. All work will be performed with a high standard of quality and professionalism. All safety policies and procedures must be followed.
Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in wind tunnel data validation. Able to apply expertise in all wind tunnel types including open test sections, closed test sections, ventilated test sections, in all speed regimes. Well-versed in experimental measurement methods, data processing methods and corrections. Duties include working closely with experimental data production, reduction, and analysis personnel. Duties may also include identifying and implementing process improvements in areas of expertise. Develops and implements training programs for new and existing personnel. Establishes and maintains large cross-functional network of resources to assist in providing high-quality solutions for client. Will interface with subordinates, peers, senior management, and client personnel at all levels as needed.

U.S. Citizenship required. BS degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school and ten to fifteen years of related engineering experience. Must have demonstrated ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with client and industry personnel. Must be recognized as expert in wall correction methodology.
