Job Description Run and manage the design, development, and delivery of dashboards and visualizations related to key operational metrics. Ensure deliverables are provided within the agreed SLA and manage day to day activities. Provide key analysis and insights based on historical numbers and recent events that would impact the metrics’ usual trends.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Integration
Prepare business requirements mapping required for dashboarding and insighting on new and change requirements
Visualization Design
Draw and define dashboard visual layout, look and creatives to enable Visual storytelling to business
Secure concurrence & approval from senior management and stakeholders on the visual layout and flow
Dashboard Development
Develop dashboards, optimize scripts, transformations on further requirements in collaboration with Data Build team
Lead development of approved layout and views via the Visualization Tool
Dashboard QA & Validation
Establish and Define QA and Validation / UAT Plan for every Dashboarding Development Project
Execution of QA and Validation Plan according to the agreed Project Plan timelines / milestones
Accountable person to ensure accuracy of metrics and figures in relation to the agreed standardized KPIs.
Govern dashboard compliance with data and dashboard governance requirements.
Dashboard and Reports Automation
Support Reports rationalization initiatives and automate existing dashboards in excel spreadsheets
Develop new scripts to automate in collaboration with Data Build team
Automate data ingestion to ensure accurate and updated dashboards
Dashboard Maintenance
Manage dashboard scheduling, Ensure timely and regular production and update of dashboards – depending on agreed frequency, timing SLAs
Ensure that production dashboard scripts are closed and manage versioning, update, change process
Adhoc and Regular MIS
Enable Adhoc and Regular MIS requiring Simple Customer Profiling, Numbers scoping and business monitoring
Regularly share and endorse insights to Data Analytics team for further deep-dives / advanced analytics requirements
Automation of Data Storytelling Insights
Automation of regular profiling and cohort analyses – to support Data Storytelling team churn out insights faster
Business User / Stakeholder Education
User and stakeholder education on the use of the dashboard visualization tools such as Tableau and Google Data Studio
REQUIREMENTS:
8+ years professional experience in the concepts of complex Business Intelligence
6+ years of experience in developing and building reports, data models, dashboards and BI tools
5+ years of experience of agile development methodologies preferred
5+ years of process management experience
5+ years of experience managing and effectively operating a complex systems that are highly reliable and scalable
Hands-on experience with all stages of system development efforts, including requirements definition, design, architecture, testing, and support.
Experience with balancing usability, data integrity, and performance
Demonstrated ability to assess technology needs of Business Intelligence, Analytics, Reporting, Analytical Modeling and Forecasting
Strong Team player who can define and enforce data standards
Experience interfacing with and presenting to senior business leaders
Outstanding leadership abilities; able to coordinate and direct all phases of project-based efforts while managing, motivating, and leading project teams.
Adept at developing effective security policies and procedures, project documentation and milestones, and technical/business specifications
Strong technical knowledge of and hands on experience with Business Intelligence techniques including but not limited to Analytics, Data Mining, Data Warehouse, Reporting and Dashboards.
Soft Skills : Elicitation and Collaboration, Stakeholder Management, Team Management
Hard Skils: SQL, Database Management, BI and Viz tools, DBT
Strong technical knowledge of BI tools integrated to Cloud setup
Extensive knowledge on data visualization techniques and dashboard design is essential
Java Scripting, SQL and Python skills a definite plus. Experience in working for a telco company is desirable.
Knowledge of database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures.
Experience and advanced knowledge of logical and physical database modeling concepts and techniques.
Understand normalized and star-schema (dimensional) physical models and logical modeling concepts.
Experience with a variety of sources (EBS, XML, Oracle, flat file, excel spreadsheets, transactional (OLTP) sources, etc.).
Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree
