Data X Supervisor
Overview The Data X Supervisor will be part of the Panasonic Energy North America Digital Transformation Group, reporting directly to the Digital Transformation Manager. They will manage projects and operational support teams, participate in PENA's digital transformation journey, manage project budgets, provide direction and mentorship to the team, build relationships with business partners, and help identify improvement opportunities. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas. Essential Duties: Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. Oversee building, developing, and maintaining of data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions. Design and build technical processes to address business issues. Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables. Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements. Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within the department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs. Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of data teams and effective collaboration with stakeholders. Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company. Recruit, train, develop and supervise data experts. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensure compliance to all Panasonic policy and procedures. Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education: Basic/Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting or related field MA preferred 5+ of experience in a position monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data, and at least 3 years of experience leading a team. Previous professional or experience in Semi-Conductor field. Essential Qualifications: Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources. Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units. Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes. Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities. Proficient and experienced with the following tools/programs: Strong programming skills with querying languages: SQL, SAS, etc. Experience with BI/Statistical analysis tools: Tableau, PowerBI, Mathlab, Jump, ARCGIS, etc. Experience with Datawarehouse, DataLake, ETL, etc. C, C++, JAVA, Python, or other programming languages Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, including the ability to set clear expectations. Effectively ensures core team connected with customers to maximize solution benefit.
