Praescient Analytics is looking for a Database Administrator, Senior to join our team supporting the Return Review Program (RRP) for an IRS contract. RRP is a mission-critical, automated system that is part of the IRS’s tax processing pipeline component which detects and selects potentially fraudulent returns to prevent/stop the issuance of invalid refunds. RRP maintains an integrated data warehouse that stores return data and taxpayer information for data mining, runtime scoring, scheme development and research. It incorporates multiple analytical techniques to detect anomalies for fraud and non-compliance, allowing RRP to improve the analytics each Filing Season to help the IRS identify increasingly sophisticated tax fraud.

This position is based in Lanham, MD but can be supported fully remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:

Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

Active IRS MBI Clearance (MUST HAVE) 10+ years of overall database administration experience 7+ years hands on experience with Greenplum, PostgreSQL or Oracle 7+ years hands on experience with DB2 Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated work group by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals. Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
